National Bowel Screening Programme

If you are between 50 and 74 you will be invited to take part in the National Bowel Screening Programme.  A testing kit will be sent to you every 2 years from the age of 50.
The test aims to find bowel cancer at an early stage – even if you’ve had no symptoms/feel fine.
If you are aged 75 or over  you can still take a bowel screening test every two years.  You will not be automatically sent the testing kit, but you can request one for free from the Bowel Screening Centre Helpline on: 0800 0121 833 (textphone 18001 08000121 833)
Morre information can be found by logging on to the Bowel Screening Website: http://www.bowelscreening.scot.nhs.uk/
